Minyon Resilience Network
Minyon Resilience Network
A Community Resilience Team (CRT) Supporting Coopers Creek, Repentance Creek, Rosebank and surrounding areas
Community Resilience Networks are a way of increasing local area connectivity and robustness.
Using a network of Area Contacts we connect with neighbours in person, by phone, social media or other agreed ways so that we have the means to respond quickly and support each other promptly.
The Area Contacts (AC’s) in turn, communicate with the Primary Contact (PC) who has a direct line of connectivity with emergency services, such as SES, Council, Fire Dept, etc.
This simple communication tree enables a deeper capacity to respond to local area situations as they emerge.
Cyclone Alfred Community Response
During Cyclone Alfred in early 2025 our community came together around the Repentance Creek Hall in a way that was supportive and cohesive.
Red Cross made a short video about that time as a snapshot reminder of what a healthy and resilient community looks like.

Get Involved
We have a network of Area Contacts who each have a specific area to coordinate. If you don’t know who your Area Contact is, please let us know.
We are also looking for more Area Contacts to help share the load and extend out reach.
